In this educational exercise, students used a flashlight in a dark classroom to project the numbers onto the ceiling. As numbers appeared, students identified the projected number and called out loudly. This interactive approach enhanced the number recognition skills and encouraged active engagement in learning.

Moreover, it provided a practical demonstration of light and shadow principles.

By combining fun and learning, students not only had fun but also improved their numerical literacy.

As the auspicious occasion of Navratri graces us with its presence, the Xavierians from Nicholas House embarked on a journey to illuminate the radiant beacon of women empowerment.

Their captivating speech, titled " Naari Shakti ," resonated with the profound significance of the feminine force that permeates our very being. Each word uttered was a testament to the unwavering strength, resilience, and indomitable spirit that women possess.

The mesmerizing dance performance on Mahishasur Mardini served as a visual spectacle, portraying the triumph of good over evil. The graceful movements of the dancers embodied the divine feminine energy that vanquishes all forms of negativity.

On this auspicious occasion of Navratri, let us all strive to uphold the ideals of women empowerment. Let us recognize the immense potential that lies within every woman, and let us create a world where all women are free to reach their full potential.

This year, St. Nicholas organized a special assembly to observe Global Handwashing Day and spread awareness about the importance of handwashing. During the assembly, the Clean Hands Squad performed a skit about a group of germs who were trying to spread disease. But the students were prepared! They knew how to wash their hands properly, and they were able to stop the germs from spreading. The assembly ended with a song about handwashing, and the students all promised to wash their hands often to keep themselves and their community healthy.

                                    Tie-Dyeing : A STEM Adventure

In a recent STEM activity, grade VII Xavierians embarked on a tie-dyeing adventure, where they learned fundamental chemistry concepts in a memorable way.

As they folded and twisted their fabric, they explored mathematical divisions and geometric patterns. Tying their fabric into spirals, they created their own fractals, marveling at the beauty of basic division as rubber bands divided their cloth into colorful sections.

Measuring liquids and volumes, they discovered the different rates at which dyes dissolve, depending on their form. And then, with eager hands, they poured the dyes onto their fabric, creating their own color spectrums, mixing primary colors to create secondary ones.

Their excitement was scintillating as they watched their creations unfold, witnessing the science of tie-dyeing in action.

"A strong foundation of spelling builds an empire of language."

House Captains & Vice Captains from grade IX & XI organized an inter house spellathon competition to encourage our young Xavierians to develop their interest in language and enrich their spellings,  vocabulary, and pronunciation skills to become effective and impressive communicators. Spellathon featured multiple rounds like anagram, mingle mangle, picture speak, brain teasers, and enact the word. The competition rose to a scintillating pitch as participants competed with each other to reach the top. Finally, St. Raphael emerged as the winner of the competition.

                                      Congratulations to all the participants!!
